No I do not remember a Victoria Hall.

I remember the library being downstairs I think it was during the war.

I remember my Mother talking about silent films being shown in the Town Hall.

What makes me laugh now is all the talk about now having a "One Stop Shop" and now you can not even Pay your council rent there You have to go to the nearest shop.

Yes, I seem to have heard they did show films at the Victoria Hall.... if they were silent it must be a fair time ago.

and the one stop shop thing..... how do you mean you have to go to the nearest shop to pay your council rent... I am confused.....

Yes I am right about not being able to pay your council rent in the town hall at the one stop shop.

now you can go to the post office, or pay at such as the Maynards paper shop.  you also pay your council tax, water rates or what have you at these shops or Post office.
